I'm running the 8.04 Alpha 2, and I'm very impressed with the ease of use. I'm a long-time former Knoppmyth user, and I was always used to only having the Myth version updated when the entire distro was updated, which was only 2-4 times per year. I never used SVN before.
I'm enjoying all of the new features in Myth that I now have and I was wondering if you can explain how the updates work?
I assume I am using the most up-to-date beta (or whatever you call it) of Myth .21. How is that set up? Am I only using tested, stable, committed code, or is MythBuntu set up to grab the latest bleeding edge code. Are the updates driven by MythBuntu, or is it just whatever the SVN team releases? How often should I expect updates? Weekly?
Again, I am very happy with this version of MythBuntu and MythTV itself. I'd just like an overview of how the updates are set up.
Also, is there a way to check the current version of Myth that I am running?
Thanks!
