I'd like to learn programming...

...but have no idea where to start. I'm a complete beginner to any sort of programming language. I wondered if anyone knew of any websites that possibly had tutorials or links to them that could get me started?

It has been suggested by a bunch of people, including mods.

Also suggested are blinking stickies, but that would get old fast.
