I just read about the commit to openssh for sftp chroot (http://undeadly.org/cgi?action=article&sid=20080220110039) and was curious if anyone knows or can comment when it will become available to Ubuntu apt sources? I have been long waiting a simple method to replace a problematic IIS-FTP server. Being able to distribute the WinSCP client that defaults to the sftp would make life so much easier than dealing with the daily headaches of a plain text ftp server.
