How To: Nova T 500 Remote

I would stress I am a novice fumbling my way through the process of building a MythTV on Gutsy using the Hauppauge Nova T 500. The Nova T 500 used is the UK version purchased in February 2008. The remote didn't work properly and after some effort I managed to generate a new lirc.conf with irrecord. I notice there are 8 different codes compared to the lircd.conf provided by the MythTV Control Centre, so I edited that file accordingly. I am attaching my version in the hope that it might help someone.
