The wine 0.9.55 in the hardy repositories is broken (still.. I just tested it 5 seconds ago after apt-get update), and results in segfaults upon trying to do pretty much anything. If youre on hardy and want the newest version.. look through my post history and youll find a wine 0.9.55 thread with a link to a mepis site with a .deb that works, or compile it yourself. most people will just want to revert to 0.9.54.
