As a developer I use git a lot and i needed the latest versions for all ubuntu versions so i could update our servers from a controlled (by me) source.

But i don't want to withhold these packages from you, so here they are in a PPA on Launchpad

Extra bonus, working with GIT is much more easy with a good gui. The best gui I've found is qgit. Qgit is in the repo's but a new qt4 version is created that is not available. The latest GIT version can be installed from this ppa: https://edge.launchpad.net/~roderik/+archive

This is in another PPA because the first PPA is for server use, this is for more desktop targeted packages.

Additionally this repo also delivers the latest OpenFTD (http://www.openftd.org) and kissdx, a linux pclink clone for Kiss DivX players (http://kissdx.vidartysse.net/)

Thanks for publishing the new git versions. I needed 1.5.2+ for a git-svn bug fix =D.
