Does the Gamebridge function in ubuntu?

I wanna get something to record game footage for movie editing.

Does this thing work with ubuntu? If not, can someone point me to something I COULD use?

Thanks in advance.

The screen recorders I know of for linux are Xvidcap, RecordMyDesktop (it has GTK/gnome and QT/kde frontends for it), and Istanbul. The latter two I'm sure are available in synaptic / via the console, the former you will have to look for a .deb. I'm not sure which yields the best results in terms of video, as I never record stuff for high quality. Go try em out and tell us which one is the best quality for you, if you have other issues, or want to try another approach, as I know of a couple others. :)

Well, I actually need some way to get the game into the desktop then.

My system can hook directly to my TV/PC monitor however they are on the composite channel for PS2 and Component channel for PSP. Unfortunately even if that stuff is on the screen... I pushed print screen and it took a shot of my PC desktop instead, which runs through VGA.

Thats why I was assuming DVD recorder is all I could use, till I saw this game bridge thing. But unfotunately its saying I need things like direct X 9 and such. So I'm unsure if it can even work on Linux.
