I've used Ewallet on my PC and PDA for years and it holds everything.

Now it would be too much to hope that there is a version of Ewallet for Linux/Ubuntu, so failing that.........

What's the nearest program that does what Ewallet does?

And (he asks hopefully) any chance it could read/open Ewallet data files?

Thanks.

You may want to look into kwalletmanager (http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/utils/kwalletmanager). It is a KDE app so installing it will also install a couple of other KDE libraries/packages. It looks to match the description of app you're after, but I cannot verify whether it can open your previous eWallet data files. You should be able to find it in Synaptic. Hope this helps and best of luck to you. =]

Thanks for the advice.

Following on from your suggestion I did some more looking around and found KeePassX which is very similar to Ewallet (not quite as good, but near enough)

Of course, it has an incompatible file format :(
