Hello

I have developed a software for my company. And it's being widely used illegally. How can I control to stop piracy of my software? i came across an open source project named Paragent . Any suggestions regarding this would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Release it under GPL, so it won't be considered piracy.
That's about all you can do, because you can't stop piracy.

Anything you do to prevent piracy will annoy your legitimate users. If people really want it, someone will crack it. This is definitely not the right place to ask that question. Maybe you should ask on an MSDN forum or something.

Are you sure Paragent is used to stop people from pirating your program? From what I read, it looks like it manages or monitors a network. I seriously doubt there would be an open-source program designed to protect software from being copied, since it conflicts with the open-source philosophy.

GPL it and do frequent updates.

Don't sell the software - software has no value, since stale software is as good as yesterday's news - fishwrap. Sell your services instead, since that has real value.
