Logging user IM messages / Pidgin

Hello
Does anyone know of a way to log and reread Pidgin/Gaim messages? And if so, as admin. recording user messages? This may seem unscrupulous, but in protecting my 15 year old, is justified. I prefer prevention and protection over privacy any day.

thanks. Where is the output of the log stored? Can it be stored to the admins home folder?
