Hello!
I have the Visual Studio 6.0 CD. I have to use VB 6.0 to write the term project. Is there any way to install VB from the CD into Wine?
Thanks.

What exactly isn't working? Also, do you have virtual desktop enabled? Post your basic hardware specifications too, it might help.

dual boot. Run VS6 in windows, that's what it was made for. Otherwise write in java under linux, unix, solaris, etc... Use eclipse :)

copy the files off the disk to your HDD,

configure the setup.exe file to run as windows 98 in wine

run the setup.exe

follow install instructions

thats what worked for me, hope it helps:)

Applications -> Wine -> Configure Wine
Add Application... (find setup.exe)
Windows Version (dropdown box) -> Windows 98

Curiosity- Any reason you have to use vb 6.0 specifically? It's ancient and horribly outdated compared to the newer VB .NET 2008, which even has a free express version.
