Cannot upload pictures!!!

Its a strange problem I am facing. Its seems that I am unable to upload pictures to certain hosting sites. I am using Arch in my desktop and everytime i try to upload a picture to deviantart or imageshack or photobucket, it fails showing connection error(for deviant) and the rest just keeps on trying :confused:

however i can upload on my orkut album. so what is the problem? its so weird:confused:

one more thing is that I have no problem downloading stuffs, like source codes or torrents, just this photo upload problem.

any help guys?

Seems like a firewall problem. Do you have these services allowed on their respective ports?

yes, it is apparently true that certain site that uses flash-based upload got problem somehow....

anyway, in some cases, typing out the extension of your file will help

Should be able to figure that one out with firestarter. It has an easy-to-use GUI.
