Baby steps... (click (http://www.linuxgamingworld.com/?q=node/195))

I know some of you will condemn this decision by the devs, but personally, I think it's a great, great thing. A :KS to the company.

If it were a game by a big name company, I would hand out a star. Otherwise, guess its nice but still...

But still it's a start :)

This is awesome! ANY company willing to do anything only for Linux and make the comment
So sorry, this preview will be unavailable on your alternative Mac and Windows operating systems!
I have always wanted companies to do this. If one or two big name companies released an actual game ONLY for Linux with a link to where they could get Linux for free, I think it would open a lot of peoples eyes.

HI
since I looks like it "might" be the type that is not HEAVILY into "first person shooter", I just can't do those...I go for the Agatha Christie stuff, I'd buy it and try it on Klikit.

Looks good...movie playback was a bit jerky, hopefully the game will be smoother...I think it's games like this that are making linux go places.

Hi guys, I'm the lead programmer in that company :)
Ofcourse, we are not EpisGames or Bethesda, and releasing a linux tech demo by a relatively unknown company may not sound like such a big deal, but it's important because it's a pioneer task. Maby other companies will follow our example.
ofcourse, we aren't going to release a linux only game, discrimination is bad even if it's the other way arround.

I and most of us at Cateia Games are huge fans of open source and linux. Most of our development is done on linux actually. I'm using ArchLinux at the moment and developing the game in python whilst others use ubuntu.

oh and, the trailer is a bit jerky cause we had problems with the exporter, should be fixed soon.

I'm very happy to learn that more and more game companies are releasing GNU/Linux clients for their games , we have found some very good games in development in the resent time and although I'm sure I won't pass 5 stages in your adventure game (Sam&Max kind of game were always impossible for me without a guide ;)) But I really wish you good luck.

I also would be very happy to learn more about your "world under siege" game.

Hi guys!

I'm Ivan Bralic from Cateia Games and although I'm not a fan of Forums, I like to see that you support us. Therefore I decided to comment.
As Kreso already explained, the game's primary OS will be Windows, but that doesn't change anything – we will have full support for Linux (Demo, Patches etc).
Anyway, we know that adventures are not the most popular genre and we are not a big company, but... we are not that small :)
But, you know, there are no many adventure games out there, and there very few that will work on Linux.
Also, our much bigger project World under Siege: European Front will work on Linux, too.
