Street Fighter 3 doesn't work

Okay I've been working all day on getting sdlmame and kxmame installed, but I can only get one game so far working. It isn't finding the other roms for some reason. They should be ok. I don't know why it's not working.

Have you edited your mame.ini file for sdlmame in order to point it at your roms? It's a common problem, so let us know.

wow awesome, it's finding the roms now. I forgot that I had installed sdlmame twice and didn't update the new ini file to point to the roms. Thanks! :guitar:

Smashing! Street Fighter III is a real sod though isn't it? You have to let it create an nvram file before you can play it. It took it 45 bloody minutes last time I updated my MAME!

do we need to install both sdlmame and kxmame to run those arcade roms, or one is enough for that?

I`ve had the same thread, but I think the problem was in mame 122u7 and u8, since SF3 and all CPS III games have stopped working even on the windows mame builds. With the comming of 123 it is OK. Btw, you won`t need to wait the CD write of CPS3 games, just get the NO-CD versions marked as NCD.
