I'm running a virtual XP machine in my Ubuntu install so that I can run outlook (Exchange 2007) and I'm wondering if there is any way to get the Outlook notifications in Ubuntu.

Example: I receive an e-mail in XP and get the little letter notification. Is there any way that I can have Ubuntu/VMware let me know that I have received a new e-mail? It would be much easier than having to bring up the virtual machine every couple of minutes to check.

Thanks!!

So I'm going to go ahead and assume that this isn't possible?

I just wish there was some way I could work with Exchange 2007 in Ubuntu without some form of virtualization. (Our OWA is buggy and haven't gotten that to work yet in Evolution.)

That's currently how I have to do it... However, checking email can be disrupting so I only check them every-so-often... Nothing should be that critical...

Evolution... well the Novel version will work with Exchange 2007 however, the free version will not...

As everybody know Novell sold-out to Microsoft...
