KDE is more powerful. USE KDE instead of gnome.

This "users are idiots, and are confused by functionality" mentality of Gnome is a disease. If you think your users are idiots, only idiots will use it. I don't use Gnome, because in striving to be simple, it has long since reached the point where it simply doesn't do what I need it to do.

If you have a problem with either environment, you can post in the Desktop Environment forum - http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=132
Otherwise, this is just a rant and should go under Testimonials and Experiences - http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=103
I'm sorry you don't like Gnome :(

In all Honesty, I use what works :) We all have for different variations and different flavors, that is what is wonderful about linux..we can choose what we like :) Two major reasons why I dont use KDE are:

-In all honestly, it looks like a windows start menu and layout of Windows. I wanted to have a breath of fresh air and am exploring different ways of doing things and am throughly enjoying it. Im expecting to see what Hardy Heron brings in April.

-KDE 4.0 I have never gotten to run despite over three reinstalls cause things broke. Window displays got mucked up and I decided it was easier to reinstall, no biggie. I just may try KDE 4.1 when its released, I may not. I go by the odd addiage "If It ain't broke dont fix it" school of thinking..just laying out my reasons:)

Tell me, how does insulting gnome, or any other choice, improve KDE ? There is no need to insult the choices of others.

Thread closed (flame bait) and moved to recurring discussions.
