reduce/disable wobble effect-beryl, emerald

I am using Beryl and the Emerald theme manager. Is there a way to (preferably) reduce, or disable the wobble effect without turning off other effects like the cube?

In preferences>desktop effects, the checkboxes for this purpose are greyed out by one of the above-mentioned applications, so it isn't as easy as it sounds (for me).

I don't know enough to know which file needs editing to accomplish this. Can anyone help?

HI and are you using feisty? If so you can use the beryl-settings manager to turn off the wobbly effect.
