Ubuntu is too large for my screen. For example, this morning I was attempting to download a new application. When I wished to click on the button It was not visible and I could not click on it. I even moved the top panel over to the side so I could move the "Window" (do you call them a window in Ubuntu?) up. But still the correct button was off the screen. I had to use the tab key to select the correct button. I had to guess a couple times when I should press the enter key (four times was the correct number for the tab key) before I got it to start downloading.

My video graphics card is an NVIDIA. My computer is an elderly Gateway (1999). I did have previous problems with giant fonts at the login and password screens. When I typed in my login name and password the characters were humungous. Finally I was able to fix that with the restricted drivers wizard.

Hi and you can use the alt key with single click and hold the mouse and this will allow you to move the window. Have you tried to adjust your resolution since you have enable the restricted drivers? What is the model of the nvidia card?

I did try to adjust resolution but it won't allow anything else than what it now has. I'll have to find out what the NVIDIA card is. Is the best place to learn that in BIOS?
