I am a newbie to mythbuntu trying to setup a system with a Dishpro 381 sat box. I got my hands on a HP remote and usb-uirt for free so i am trying to use that. It looks like this: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=356443&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&submit.y=0&submit.x=0&lang=en&cc=us
The HP USB-UIRT has IR ports on the back to hook the cables for transmitting the signal to my dish reciever.
I have been doing alot of reading on lircd setup and changing the files but there is no file for my dish remote. My remote is a UHF pro remote #123214. It looks almost identical to this remote: http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/echostar/132578.jpg
I need some step by step help to get this working. Please help.
