I'm looking into getting a usb joystick for use with flightgear. Can anyone recommend a stick that will work well with that game, has good support under kubuntu and can be configured easily.

If you already have a PS2 or PS1 with Dual Shock, get a USB PS2 adapter. Its what I use and works very good for games like Descent 3, Freespace, Vegastrike and stuff.
I'm not aware of which controllers do work.. I do know that InterAct controllers are crap, and when I had one of their sticks, it would never work in Linux.

Never had a PS so no controllers. I like the idea of a joystick though.

Cheers, I'll take a look at the logitech stuff then. Did it just work out of the box or did you have to download any software? Do you have any options to configure it?
