Ok, so I've been having some issues with WoW and Wine. Technicially, it does work and run, just not properly.
When I open up the program, everything is very skiddish. The animations on the login screen are by no means smooth, the audio skips, and it seems like the load after you log in takes twice as long.
I'm currently running the recently released 0.9.54 version of Wine, and WoW I managed to get updated to the most current patch if that matters.
Honestly I think it might have something to do with XGL. I have a Radeon 200M chipset in my laptop and I need to have XGL to run desktop effects, otherwise it tells me that effects could not be enabled. Is there any way to re-enable xorg for gaming purposes?
I also seem to remember someone on here saying that the most recently released ATI linux driver eliminated the need for XGL, but I could be wrong. Thanks in advance.
