Serval Performance Battery Size

I've been thinking about purchasing a Serval Performance laptop, however I noticed from the pictures on the website that it looks like the batter actually sticks out from behind. That simply looks awful, in my opinion. Is it possible to have the laptop with a 6 cell battery...would that also stick out? If all the batteries stick out, I think I might look into the Gazelle Value instead...judging from the pictures for that one, it doesn't look like anything is sticking out and it's also a bit lighter and smaller in size (my only two complaints being I can't get the nVidia 512 MB GeForce 8600M GT with the Gazelle and the lower resolution...).

The Serval has to have a 9-cell.
The Gazelle comes with a 6-cell, which does not stick out.

So? It sticks out. Yes it does. And I love my Serval Performance BECAUSE it sticks out; it has the POWER that stands out. "That's a NINE cell battery, man - you can SEE the POWER!"

plus, you could buy an aftermarket 6cell for it as well..

I did the opposite for my gazelle.. bought a 9 cell which sticks out

So...the laptop can work with a 6 cell battery? If that's the case, would system76 take a request to have a 6 cell battery shipped with the laptop as well as with the 9 cell (the option on the website only allows for an additional 9 cell).

If they can't do that, where would you be able to buy a aftermarket 6 cell battery that would fit the laptop?

FYI: I'm new to laptops, lol.

Hey guys, the ODM manufacturer suggests that the new Serval be used with a 9-cell.

So we are not recommending 6-cells for them.
