[SOLVED] Radeon 9600 Pro-a go go

I just finished installing Mythbuntu on a system I built from spare parts, but I'm having some trouble getting the TV-out to work with my Radeon 9600 Pro. Any tips or tricks from others who've gone through this. Normally I'd just play with the settings in the Mythbuntu control app until it worked, but twice now it's switched over to settings that I can't see on either my TV or my monitor and I've had to fully reinstall... I never thought I would miss that little windows box that reverts to previous settings after 15 seconds unless you tell it not to.

Help would be awesome, thanks guys.

Well, I'm not going to be too helpful, but I tried installing with my 9600 Pro, several times, with three or four different MythTV distributions, and failed! Spent days on forums and researching. I ended up buying an nVidia 6200 instead - worked first time. Had to spend $60 or so, but at least I didn't have any more wasted time.

Hey, I actually resolved it. There's a small jumper on the bottom of the card that switches between Pal and NTSC. Not sure if this could have been your problem too, but it's pretty annoying that such a small thing caused me so much frustration.

pal vs. ntsc isn't that small a thing.

Small thing as in "You mean after 3 nights of playing with every setting possible all I had to do was switch a jumper?", not small problem.
