I've just started plying WoW, and was wondering what servers are you guys from? Any Aussies here that play WoW? Thanks...

Im tryin to find the fastest possible server thats closest to Australia.

I have been succesful multiple times with Cedega 4.4.x with a fresh install

I cannot get WoW working using Cedega 4.4.x, I cannot get the video strait. I have a 9800 pro.

Try to find a linux driver for it... I guess that u're card is ATI, go to the ATI site and DL the latest video linux driver for it...

I play just fine on Ubuntu using point2play and Cedega 4.4.x. It was also working on 4.3.x

I also use Teamspeak but I bought an older Soundblaster Live card instead of using my on board sound so I could have hardware mixing. It works great.

Our guild is on icecrown I think there are 3 aussie guilds in there both alliance and the true legendary group the horde :)

What is world of warcraft? What are the minimum requirements? Do you have to have Wine for it to work on Ubuntu? Is there a Linux version?

I'm on Earthen Ring and Emerald Dream.

I just switched to Ubuntu 5.10 from Mandrake 10.1 (using Cedega). It "works" but I have horrible hard drive stutter, it acts like I pulled out a stick of RAM. Ran smooth as a whistle on Mandrake. The whole problem is causing me some stress. :(

Well. I just installed Cedega (Yes the real thing from transgaming) and I cant get it to work with DirectDraw (D3D). It starts, sound starts playing intro but no screen, When using the -opengl option it starts and everything works fine, But we all know how good ATI are on opengl so the game chopps like mad compaired to running it in WinXP.

specs:
CPU 1,7Ghz Pentium M
1 GB RAM
Kubuntu 5.10
and newest cedega.

Please help. getting out of ideas here.
