I was wondering if I could visualize my dual boot.
currently i'm dual booting Linux Mint 4, and Vista Home Premium.
I would like to be able to run vista from inside a virtual machine, while running linux

You could do two things, either install vista from scratch on a VM or try to boot your current vista installation using vmware. The last is a bit more complicated, but there're threads about it that says it works. I haven't tried it yet so I can't comment much, but will get to it eventually.

Yes you can, but I won't do it. The trouble is that each time you reboot Windows differently, you need to re-register it with MS. That will drive you off your rocker really quickly. The solution is to install a cracked copy of Windoze which has other problems - like no updates and with the number of bugs in Windows, you really need the updates. So, on the whole, it is not a good idea. Decide how you wish to use the system and always do it that way.
Cheers,
Herman.
