Hey!

I have been having some trouble in finding a decent tutorial on how to set up SLURM on a set of machines with Gutsy Gibbons.

I want set up a Beowulf type cluster with an HPC focus. I have already tried ROCKS( http://www.rocksclusters.org/wordpress/) but unfortunately I was unable to properly set up the Sun Grid Engine (SGE).

Currently I have decided to try out SLURM ( https://computing.llnl.gov/linux/slurm/) however I still haven't found any comprehensive tutorial on how to set it up on a debian based distro.

I am very interested in making use of the ease of use of ubuntu so as to save me some time :)

Cheers

Sorry I don't know of any tutorial, and that's also why we have this forum discussion on clustering with Ubuntu: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=4280066 (trying to collect all info that we can), as well as a related Ubuntu specification: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/EasyUbuntuClustering

It may not help now - but maybe in the future. If you can help out in any way - feel free!

Cheers,

Fredrik
