From the Dreamlinux forum:
http://dream.linux-hardcore.com/index.php/topic,172.0.html

Beta release date: 23/01/2008.
Final release date: 27/02/2008.

Main changes:

- kernel-2.6.23.12-dream_6
- support to a large variety of wireless cards
- two window managers: xfce and gnome. You select one of them right in the beginning of the boot process. They share the same Dreamlinux exclusive themes. So, you experience the same appearance in both environments.
- Dreamlinux is now a completely independent modular system, based on Debian. No more Morphix or Knoppix dependencies, nor Kanotix kernel.
- Dreamlinux sports a well balanced set of applications, aiming to deliver an easy to use Desktop system. So a new set of in-house applications were (and still are being) developed to make this experience with Linux as smooth as the same experience with Windows or Mac OS X. So, now Dreamlinux automatically detects and sets up the best resolutions for your video card, your partitions map, wireless and wired network card, etc... No complicated queries to the user...
- The installer was improved technically and visually, as well as the Dreamlinux Control Panel and the Easy Installer application.
- The proprietary codecs were removed from the distro, but are easily installed at any time by Easy Install.
- The awn (advanced window navigator) was included, together with the traditional Engage. So, if you have a 3D video card installed, chances are that you will be able to not envy any Mac OS X Leopard anymore. Currently (in the Beta release) you will have to set this feature up manually, but we hope to deliver the final distro with automatic detection and set up of 3D video cards.

Please, bear in mind that this was a complete redisign of the distro, to cope with new and easier ways to build and improve it. So don't expect a radical change in the list of applications present in this Beta. You are also aware that only me and andrefelipe are fully involved with the Dreamlinux development and our time for this is really very short. So, after this first release and with the terrific support we encountered among our community, especially from linux-hardcore, Dreamlinux Wiki (Oliverb) and many others, we are looking for ways to make Dreamlinux more and more a community driven ditribution. Details for this I will outline later on.

What is Dreamlinux?
Dreamlinux (http://www.dreamlinux.com.br/)

I don't see "scrap the OSX-style windows" in that list, but I live in hope...
