It's not just no sound with Steam...it's if I run steam through WINE then I get no sound at all.
When I try to use Totem to play an mp3 I get this error: "The audio device is busy. Is another application using it?"
I've read that I should use the OSS driver in Steam and not the ALSA driver. I'm doing that, but it still doesn't work.
Edit: I've tried using the ALSA driver, OSS driver, and NAS driver, and neither work. Again, to clarify, if I don't start Steam I get sound, but as soon as it runs no sound comes out of my system.
Any clues?
