No peerguardian is for blocking the ip of knows organisations that look for illegal file shareing. So no you dont need it right?

Well , i havent dl firestarter yet, but yes peerguardian allong with protowall, act like protocols and block hundreds of address's, that act like hunters when your P2P sharing, torrent or reg file. ;-)

PeerGuardian is a *joke*. It's a group of ultra-paranoid basketcases that firewall anything that hits their Zone Alarm or whatever firewall they use. If you don't do anything illegal, you have no reason to act like you are doing anything illegal. If you are, shame on you.
Oh and.. it isn't hundreds of addresses, it's more like millions. You're firewalling roughly half of the Internet.

Peerguardian isnt that good. Trust me. I got sued by the MPAA once. They did it through packet transfers through the ISP through rigging it to tell them what packets were going through. Got a slap on the wrist but learned. And Firestarter is pretty good. I tested it on there again as I have before and passed perfectly with ports. :)

Peerguardian has a creep list who it blocks from communicating with your computer. I don't download copyright songs and I don't like the idea of moneygrabbers spying on my computer as they see fit. I have peerguardian running all the time in the background and it just does what it does, I can't recommend it highly enough.
