Hi. I use Ubuntu and XP.I find that in ubuntu if we set a picture bigger than the screen resolution,it will be automatically scaled to fit the screen. But in xp the picture will be distorted and not in its' shape. Is there any software for xp that can scale pictures as brilliantly as linux does?

It's not perfect easy solution (it can do way more than just re-scale pictures), but you could download the GIMP for windows, and use that to rescale your wallpaper.

Yeh this is what I used to do, though it still made things messy.

Yeah I noticed the same thing you're talking about. One of the many reasons I said screw Wndows for good.
