I just updated to Itunes 7.6 on my Windows Vista partition. I'm going to warn anyone here dual booting with Vista to avoid the update. Since installing it Itunes has corrupted my music codecs, messed up my internet detection, and blocks downloading in Opera. If anyone know how to fix this please share your thoughts.
I'm thinking either Apple really screwed up here or they are doing this on purpose. I'm having trouble connecting to the internet now and have actually been forced to use my wonderful Ubuntu partition just to IM and use my email.

When the elephants fight, the grass gets trampled.
I can't wait for Vista SP1 to trash iTunes.
And the battle begins . . .

I got here searching ways to run the new iTunes in Ubuntu (I wanted to try the new rent movies thing) and read this and felt like giving you the best advice a Windows Vista user can get: GET RID OF VISTA it just sucks, nothing seems to work with it and finally developers are through with Microsoft and having to re-code their entire software just to make it work in that crappy OS, if you really really really must run Windows, get Windows XP, the best thing you can do of course is work with Ubuntu only (or any other GNU/Linux distro).

Why rent movies at 640x480 that you have to wait to download, when you can go to the video library in RL and get an actual DVD with 768x576 video?
