Hello all!

I'm wondering if anyone has ever found a way to get the Steel Battalion controller for Xbox working in any flavor of Linux. Google came up with several results for Windows, but bupkus for linux. Does anyone know if this might be possible?

My controller will light up when I plug it in, but I think that's just a factor of the USB power, I don't think Gutsy is recognizing it at all.

Here is a page that links to the windows stuff.

Hello jumpjet,

I also have a Steel Battalion controller. Upon connecting it to my laptop that is running Karmic, I am able to get some sort of input via KDE4's system settings (it recognizes the device as /dev/input/js0) but the joystick is apparently giving out random values (plus the buttons are clumped together - washing, extinguisher and chaff all report as one button, etc) and the joysticks do not properly calibrate at all (likely due to the fact that one button is supposedly being pressed and released, according to the calibrator).
