ldap for authentication

Hi, I'm trying to set up an Ubuntu server to run ldap for centralized authentication, and to configure ubuntu clients to authenticate against the ldap server. I'm not finding good & complete documentation on this.

I've found several helpful resources but they all seem to be either incomplete, in accurate, or don't apply specifically to Ubuntu.

I checked the ubuntu documentation wiki and the howto index in the forums, but there wasn't much there.

Can anyone point out any complete & accurate howtos on this subject?

Try and find one for debian, it's as close as you get to Ubuntu.
