Maybe there's something sooo simple about debian i'm just not comprehending on how to find it, i've downloaded a few iso's from one of their mirrors, and the kde version halfway installed and failed, twice

the debian itself i always got some kind of error with my machine, and xfce was the only one i got to install, and i wasnt very excited about that, can someone direct me somewhere to a debian that will work?

my machine is amd 64bit anthon duo core 2..

i know if i do try debian i'd like it very much, but i cant get it! :| this is frustrating

i always use the net installer, with that you can do it all.
i386 standard version-> http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/4.0_r2/i386/iso-cd/debian-40r2-i386-businesscard.iso

amd64 version-> http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/4.0_r2/amd64/iso-cd/debian-40r2-amd64-businesscard.iso

Can you elaborate on what type of error you were getting? "Some kind of error" doesn't tell me very much. :)

i got it to work now, i was downloading the wrong iso's to burn, it just wasnt clear to me which one to download, and the error was fatal error no boot medium i believe
