Hello. I'm currently trying to use the Visual Boy Advance emulator, however the games' audio seem to skip for some reason, even tho other than that the game plays just fine.
I tried Mednafen but I'd really prefer using VBA if possible. Is there any fix currently available for this issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is a known bug with the Linux version. You can use my GB/C emulator if you don't play GBA games.

And if you do want to play GBA games, yes, VBA is very slow on Linux for some reason. There's really not much you can do about it from what I've seen, and Mednafen is pretty much your best choice.

So there's no way to use VBA on Linux, even tho it's in the official repos? That's such a disappointment. Oh well, I'm gonna get used to mednafen then.

I wouldn't say no way, because it does work, and I'm sure with a very fast system the sound and speed issues aren't a problem. It's just not as good as the one on Windows that works perfectly on pretty much any system (which incidentally, can be used in Wine to run GBA games well without too many issues).
Mednafen's great, though. I really don't miss VBA. :)
