Will I ever be anything more than Fresh Brewed Ubuntu?

I have been FBU for so long......will it ever change.

I have been FBU for almost 1000 posts, or at least it seems like that to me, anyway.

Lol...

Were most of your posts here or in a support forum? Because I think it only counts toward your user title if it's in a support forum.

To some it does and to some it does not.

Kind of think of something like wearing some good looking cloths, to some this is something similar.

Yes. As far as I know posts in the Cafe/Backyard area don't count towards your beancount but I could be wrong.

According to the FAQ, the actual method for calculating user titles is a secret, so no one but the staff really knows how it works. But, as far as I can tell, it does seem to depend mostly on post count, and possibly on posting frequency and other factors. IIRC, my title changed at some point shortly after 1500 posts.

So: hit the "unanswered posts" button, help some newbies, and you should soon be rid of the fresh brew. ;)

Look on the bright-side...at least you're not "old, stale, someone-put-their-cigarette-out-in-you Ubuntu". Hurts me just to say that...

After wandering in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights the representative of the Great Lords of GNU appeared before a young and innocent Admin ... ubuntu-Geek. ( Well it was a looooooooooong time ago) They cast down on tablets of stone the secret code of the titles. He was made to swear an oath never to reveal the code until it is time for him to become an Ascended One.

So, why cola, milk and cherries?

Why not deep, rich French roasted and pressed?

Me thinks that the mods are having a little fun at my expense.

To clarify, "admins" and "mods" are two different things.

I am a mod. Matthew and Vorian for example, are admins.

There is a difference in our colours, mods are a brighter red. We cannot change the forum, or view user information like an admin.

No, actually, I had most of the forums hidden, so I never saw anything from them. Then I unhid them (and the main page got twice as big) and started posting a bit.

The Backyard is where my main focus is now.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=677095 My first post on that thread is the first post in the Cafe, and it was before I became a mod. I am a mod several pages into that thread.

So, as I post on my own high jacked thread, will someone tell me if the cherries and coke thing is a normal forum title or may I have it changed to a more respectable coffee centered subject?

I don't even like coke with cherries and milk.

If it pleases my Lord, I ask that we close this thread so that I may go whip myself in quiet and peace.
