Hello,
I have the newest Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon. Its special version for linux, im not using wine.
I have Americas Army since 2 months. Yesterday when i tried to run it
the frame appeared only for 1 second dissapeared and nothing happened. Thats a quote from terminal:
"
xxx@xxx:~/AA/System$ ./armyops-bin
Can't find 'ini:Engine.Engine.GameEngine' in configuration file

History:

Exiting due to error"

I didnt change anything in any ini file, everything was fine. I tried reinstalling game but thats always the same.I checked permission to files, they are OK for sure. I have good graphic drivers and didnt changed them too so i don't know what could caused this error. Plz help me I searched many forums but i couldnt find solution.

It won't really matter even if you do get it started because the latest game is >2.5, so your game is incompatible. I hate to ruin the party since it is a pretty good shooter, but they don't make a Linux client any more.

you can only play the latest version though wine as Royall stated there are no more Linux ports. Here is the link to wine's application database:

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=908

Punkbuster does not work and frankly the game works poorly under wine.
