Hi all,
Not sure if I'm asking in the right place but here goes anyway.
I've had Ubuntu 7.10x64 on my laptop for a while now and all has been going well. However my girlfriend uses it when I'm gaming on my windows machine and shes not to fond of it, mind you she's not very open minded.
Anyway the latest winge fest has been that she cannot change her Alias in Pidgin messenger. This is the version that came with Ubuntu 7.10, I haven't done any updates or added any plugins.
She changed her Alias while on Windows messenger (on windows) to say merry christmas at the end and this came across to pidgin fine. However she has since changed her Alias in Windows messenger ditching the holiday greeting which worked fine. However when in pidgin, even though she has changed her alias in the accounts menu, the people she chats to still see the christmas greeting popping up.
We've (I've) deleted her account in Pidgin and re-created it with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated :(
Thanks,
Locky
