Do you think we're going to be seeing System 76 laptops and desktops coming with these new parts as well as the new standards of pci-e 2.0, ddr3 ram or draft n wi-fi in the near future? I'm just wondering b/c i'm looking for a new laptop or desktop but don't want to buy something just to find out that i bought to early and missed out on what's new.

I've not heard rumors of it trickling down from R&D.

Thanks for the heads up that stinks that they don't have something immediately coming up but hopefully soon.

Typically, you're never going to have a fast enough computer if you keep waiting. If you're waiting for a quad-core laptop, then that makes sense, but if you're just waiting for something more powerful in fear of obsolescense, then it makes no sense to continue waiting. :) Moore's Law.

Ha Ha i know about the waiting game with technology it's just that I buy a new laptop every three years or so and last time I made the mistake of going w/ an underpowered configuration in order to save money and was regretting it almost immediately, I'm also not looking to buy a new laptop for at least another two months or so and I'm just hoping that the new chips will be in use by then
