I am trying to play one of my favourite linux games in ubuntu: Neverball. But it does not work properly. It is slow to the point of being unplayable even though I have set all the graphics settings to the lowest possible.

Though this problem seems to be similar to : http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=476736, it is the not same as the solutions there do not work for me.

My hardware setup is way different: A Pentium 4 3 Ghz Desktop, with 512MB Ram, and an Onboard Graphics Card.
Any help is most welcome!

You probably do not have 3d hardware acceleration going. What is your exact graphics card? If there is a graphics driver available from the restricted drivers manager, you should install that.

I dont have a dedicated graphics card. I think my graphics capability is onboard built in. The restricted drivers manager (in gutsy) says that I do not need any restricted drivers. If you need to know more about my computer, please say how I should find out too.

The line corresponding to graphics in the output of the command "lspci" is:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02)
