I've done a fresh install of Breezy and went to install the w32codecs (from the Hoary backports, as I understand there's no Breezy backports as yet) and it is not there anymore.
Can anyone recommend a repo that still has this, or has it been removed permanently?

Was this ever in backports? If anything it would have been in extras, right? But iiRC, it was in Marillat's repository (see http://debian.video.free.fr/) though at the moment it seems to be empty? ^_^;
Anyway, as per the file name, this is the same version I have installed:
