Looks nice, and like something I'd use... kinda halfway between mac paint/ MS paint (too simple) and the gimp (too complex). Good find.
Have you tried it yet? Is my impression correct?

I own a copy of Pixel32, been watching it since my BeOS days. It is ok, and relatively stable now. Though it is still not "Production Ready" imho. If you are a KDE user, Krita is much like Pixel, though I have not used either program extensively lately. Gimp is my main program. But these 2 are definitely a bit more familiar to new users.
