Well i have 2 questions:
1. Are there any P2P software in Ubuntu like Ares, Limewire, etc in Windows?
2. Can equalizer can be inserted in rythum box music player?? If not, recommend me other music player which has music lirary+equalizer. I love the music library of rythumbox, so i hope the one u recommend has library like it and yeah the equalizer like VLC, it is too powerful, i like that too.

Limewire is available for Linux. http://www.limewire.com/download/download.php?version=linux_deb

There's also http://www.google.com/search?q=linux+p2p+clients&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=com.ubuntu:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Nope, no eq for Rhythmbox :(

I honestly can't :(. Take a browse through synaptic, and try out a few programs. You can also uninstall them from synaptic if you don't like them. I personally use Audacious and it's list manager, since I have a playlist for every artist and every album. The EQ works fine plus it supports most Winamp 2.x and classic style skins.

This is a good read on bit torrent http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent_%28protocol%29

as I said on another thread:
Equalizer: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=72382
Equalizer + Spectrum: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=83933

The guys are working on making a stable version of those features so that could be released to the masses as soon as possible.

the best file-sharing is bittorrent + private trackers. but if you dont have access to those, nicotine+ is you best option.

Thank you guys, I will check on that.
But i have heard that Linux P2P doesnt provide much files as Windows does. I mean, basically in Windows, there is no song you cannot find. So will it be like that here too?
And yes, i cannot just install and check the softwares coz for the single software to be downloaded takes hours and hours. I have a dial-up modem. So i wanted the best player with EQ and good library.

There's no such thing as "Linux P2P" or "Windows P2P". If you connect to the same network or tracker, you will see the same files, no matter what OS you are using.

Yes its the same...i read abt it but what iam sayin is that...there are not so many ppl usin Linux compared to Windows isnt it?? So that means less number of "data providers". Isnt it? Or P2P uses the same network no matter what software they are using?
So whats pirate bay?? P2P or Music Player?

yep Amarok has a music library like Rythmbox,, I found it a little more complex to use intially,, but it works well,, automatically downloads album art,, and you can sync your playlists to your ipod and it has an equilizer
