Hi all
I run a computer lab with 25 computer, 20 xp's, 2 Mac, 2 Linux, one Server - 2003. All the xp machines are ghosted from one good image that is improved upon once or at most twice a year. I use mostly open souce apps that I find by googling or have used in ubuntu like tux typing, tux paint, celestia, and a few others. I have tried edubuntu but not terribly fond of it.
My Ubuntu Machines are fiesty updates but not ghosted, (I have not found a good open source clone that works).
Does anyone have any suggestions for:
Educational software for multiplatform use
Educational software Linux only
Open Source Clone to Ghost
Lab Management Tools for Linux
My favorite so far is Komposer and Bluefish HTML editors, Stellarium star viewers, Tux Math, Tux Paint, Tux Typing and of course The almighty Gimp.
Age Groups are 5 - 14 that use the computers. Any suggestions are helpful.
I am looking for all kinds of applications. We do a lot of graphics and picture editing, Typing, web editing and games are always ok.
