DVD Backup Licencing??

Hi all, I just made the transition from windows and wanted to start burning backups of some of the (Expensive)DVD's I own,

but I understand that they are copy protected, so I cant burn them, does anyone know how I can bypass this to get my dvd burner back in gear for linux
