Anyone with a guide to customising and working with gOS?
Or can point to juicy tutorials/ HOWTOs on Enlightenment?
I'd have fun finding my own way round, but The VM version I downloaded comes up against the usual wall.
You download a VM image, it's up and running, but what IS the root password???

Haven't used many pre-fab VM images (prefer to install myself), but it would still use a bootloader, no? So, boot into single user mode and change the password.

Just finished getting gOS running on a notebook - EVEREX stepnote 1503 - works great so far but I ran into problem with the root password - didn't know what it was and found web notes that it was blank - just press [Enter] - nope didn't work. but "sudo" really works so "sudo su -[Enter]" then "passwd[Enter]" choose your own password - I would suggest "blackpig" only pugwash fans would guess that one.
My new root password didn't work until after a reboot - bit confusing with whoami reporting me as root straightaway.
Computers are fun......:)

I was wondering that too. Sure, it's technically a Debian derivative, but it's a Debian derivative via Ubuntu 7.10. :)
