What's with the 141 Updates??

Am I the only one who is experiencing this? I just turned on my PC today (I didn't log-in yesterday) and am now faced with 141 updates!!

I'm already downloading all of them but boy, it's taking too long..

Is this normal? Or is this because I did not log-in yesterday? Any thoughts?

There were a lot in the last coupla days.

It happens sometimes.

141 is a lot but it depends on what you have installed - linux can be like that due to comples distributed dependencies.

Other threads have noted it.

Some days there'll be none and then you'll feel lonely.

bsussman - yep. You're right. It's just that I was shocked when just for a single day of not logging-in to my ubuntu a whole whack of updates is waiting for me (and to think that the other day there was no update)

Anyways, my updates are almost done (now on my 140th file). I hope others have all updated theirs.

BTW - who drew your toon avatar? It looks like the work of a guy who did a wonderful serial comic years ago that I cannot find about a wizard that included an internet that looked like my plumbing system...:grin:

BTW - who drew your toon avatar? However, there are wizardly aspects to his work.

Thats about right, I've had around 96 updates for hoary. Until I recently upgraded to breezy's preview. :-)
