Greetings one and all!
And a happy new year to you all!
I installed MythBuntu (7.10) onto my new server after the death of my Edgy server. A small explosion was involved. It's was both horrifying and somewhat entertaining. And very expensive.
Anyway, Mythbuntu was working brilliantly for a week or so when I got cocky and decided to start adding game emulators.
I added SDL mame, no worries. Played great! (whoo!! Digdug!)
I compiled and added SDLmess 0.122. When I tried to do the rom scan for the NES roms though, the system locked up at 12%. I had no choice but to hit the power button. I couldn't ssh into the box, I could switch to the console.
After reboot, I went back to mythgame, and both players were gone. I tried to add mame again and nothing. No error, no nothing. It just doesn't add it to the players list. It won't add ANYTHING to the players list!
I've tried rebooting the system, restarting mythbackend, removing and re-installing the mythgame component.
I'm quite lost and REALLY jonesing for a little digdug action here. any help is always appreciated.
