As part of a series I am doing about the advantages of free software and the power behind them, I put together a little 3d scene in Blender.

There will be a total of 12 shots that are going to be compiled in to a calendar and sold. All proceeds will go to open source projects centered on the further development of graphical applications in Linux.

This is just an example of the work that I am doing.

This was just done as an homage to one of my childhood favorites. An idea of the look I would apply to an autumn month. Using the amber tones and bills falling, symbolic to the leafs falling from trees.

What I am looking for are ideas. Copyrighted works obviously can't be used, so if anyone has something that they would like to see visualized, leave a response.

I think you may need to chamfer the dice, the closer/higher die looks too sharp.

If copyrighted works can't be used, why are you using Monopoly?

I love monopoly, very well done. Nature isn't copyrighted so you can do some stuff on that. You are very talented and I hope to see more works from you. :D

The Monopoly scene isn't being used. It was simply a visual representation of how the flow of the calendar will go. The general idea is to incorporate objects that would not normally be associated with nature in to a scene centered around a certain month.

For instance: We are currently rigging a scene for July that involves a tree (Weeping Willow) that looks like fireworks
