People call me "Matt", you can call me that if you'd like. Or LoKe, whatever you choose. I am not my operating system.

In the last thread which raised that all-important question, I gave the answer:

Humans, because Ubuntu is Linux for humans.

I call myself - me.

I then have references to me such as (a bit like pointers to a structure)
my children refer to me as dad; my grandchildren as grandad; my step children as Steve; my friends as Steve; my work colleagues as Boss; my sisters as Stephen; my wife as 'Oi you lazy b.....d';
All of these of course have to be dereferenced to the bit of data that I call 'me'

Actually, you are not me. You are an instance of me, and you can can yourself anything you want, this and self are popular.

I am also me (an instance of me).

But the clue is in the title of the thread. I says "What do Ubuntu users call themselves" and my answer to that is correct.
If the thread had been entitled "What are Ubuntu users" then being an instance of me would correct. As it is I call myself 'me' not 'an instance of me' and therefore I do not accept your correction, sorry!

Well ... What's in a label, Whatever the label I'll still be me and you will be you. And if I won't be an Ubuntu user tomorrow, what do I need ? A divorce? I'm here cause I need to be here at the moment, the subject concerns me, and most people seem to have similar interests, other than some differences on guns and other toys. Anyway, named cults always get a bit weird, like the Symbianese Liberation Army, or the followers of Reverend X in some remote jungle. I personally would like to see Ubuntu spread to the masses, help to educate the "3rd" world, as a free stable OS, running on a mass produced box, which needs little maintenance, maybe one board only, like a cellphone and costing less. If I can help with that, I don't need a name, just the satisfaction of being a tiny screw in the works.

That wholly depends on your intake. Garbage in - garbage out, as the saying goes.
